VERDICT: Although he made it no further than the fifth fence on his chase/seasonal bow at Carlisle 63 days ago, it is too soon to write off Pic Roc in this discipline. However, Denemethy scored on his second attempt over fences at Market Rasen on Boxing Day and that experience could prove crucial. Issam and Alcedo are making their debuts over the larger obstacles and neither can be discounted.
