VERDICT: Runner-up on his re-entry, and Vincennes debut, late last month, L'amour (9) has clearly progressed over the autumn and, barefoot this time, should be able to wrap this up. Starting just to his inside, Lumineux (8) has taken well to main-track conditions and should logically finish closer than he did earlier in the month. Le Taj Mahal (5) made up 3 weeks ago for his sanctioned Vincennes debut and racing unshod-behind and breaking from the 5-spot will do his chances no disservice. Sanctioned as often as not but plainly a colt for the future, L'amour D'etang (4) has been shod similarly and, with application, can make a big splash.
