VERDICT: Last-start scorer Kris Martin (4) impressed when winning at Wolvega in late December and is presented with confidence by Danny Brouwer. He is good value to land the spoils in this opening event at the expense of Kalencio Flac (11), who could improve racing barefoot for the first time in his career. Enigmatic Keops Tillaye (14) is undeniably capable of resurfacing in a race like this so isn't taken lightly, with the shortlist completed by recent course-and-distance winner Kador D'espace (12).
