VERDICT: Ideally-engaged at the limit of earnings and patently in cracking form, Historic Day (13) sports front pads for his monte debut and with Alan Gendrot aboard can get straight down to business. Excellent in both ridden starts on French soil, Fighter Simoni (3) has also been reconfigured and is unbeaten with Benjamin Rochard. Helena Girl (6) is not far from opening her monte account and the new formula will set her up nicely. After reassuring under harness here last month, Hescort Love (7) similarly sports modified shoeing and will be reunited with Alexandre Abrivard.
