VERDICT: Optician was defeated by Parramount over C&D in November, but he gained his revenge the following month and the pair are likely to be thereabouts once again. However, the vote goes to Wonder, who landed his maiden over the extended 1m1f here before shaping with promise over 1m2f at Newcastle on his handicap bow. The lightly-raced four-year-old can continue to progress, especially given that a further step up in trip looks a positive move.
