VERDICT: Sparingly raced Kassus Blue (10) blotted his copybook in 3 appearances last year but showed enough during 2023 to suggest that he should be winning a race of this nature, especially given the potential for improvement in this shoeing configuration. Kolonel Macker (8) fits a similar profile and is another genuine candidate for success after a much-needed comeback outing. Kir De Kacy (5) and Klaxon De Reville (3) aren't underestimated, while versatile Kansas Leman (7) isn't taken lightly either after a pleasing performance under the saddle last month .
