VERDICT: Joolianoss returns from a layoff representing last year's winning trainer. The four-year-old was beaten less than a length when third at Lingfield on his handicap bow in August and has lots of scope for further improvement off a 1lb higher mark. Elterwater has the more recent form having won at Chelmsford before just missing out at the same track last month. She has to be included in calculations, while the penalised Union Island is not out of this either as the recent C&D winner bids for a hat-trick.
