VERDICT: General Admission arguably sets the standard based on his debut second at Kempton in October. A half-brother to a recent Grade 2 winner in the US, Andrew Balding's colt is expected to take a decent step forward and gets a confident vote to shed the maiden tag. Kevin Ryan's debutants tend to improve plenty from the experience and Lord Capulet may be another to do similar following his Redcar fifth in November. First Ambition is the first foal of star mare Laurens to reach the track and any market confidence should be heeded.
