VERDICT: Johnny Ringo struck the woodwork over C&D on his hurdling bow and must be respected with improvement on the cards, but the vote goes to Cracker Star. Harry Derham's juvenile disappointed at Kempton in October having been sent off a warm favourite, but that experience will aid his chance and the cheekpieces could give him an added boost. Spartan Warrior was a place behind Johnny Ringo here before again taking third at Newcastle and is expected to be in the mix too.
