VERDICT: Gaelic Des Chastys is enjoying life with Eric McNamara. He has banked a victory over hurdles and a trio of second places in handicap chases since switching to McNamara, and should put in another decent effort in this big field. Portnacoo ran up a treble at Downpatrick for his former trainer and performed with credit in third on stable debut for Ross O'Sullivan at Navan. Tom Harney lessens his burden by 7lb and the pair are certainly contenders. Birmingham Alabama has been off since winning by the narrowest margin at Wexford in July, while Goodie Girl and Slim Marvel are others with chances.
