VERDICT: Mount Ferns may be able to strike again back on softer ground. Conor McNamara reported that his mount didn't handle the better ground at Cork last month having won impressively on his first outing for the yard on easier going at Listowel. He could still be nicely treated. She's On Line was narrowly beaten on her last visit here and could be a danger, despite not showing that form at Musselburgh last time. Cheekpieces are tried now. Apologise was picked up for just 1,000 pounds at the sales in July and is an interesting one, with trainer Gary McGill making the long trip down from County Derry.
