VERDICT: Mela Strength, Azzurri and State Capitol are hard-knockers with the form and experience to acquit themselves competitively, as is last-start winner Hang Out The Stars who should have a role to play at the finish, even under a 4-point penalty. Course-and-distance maiden winner Beer With The Boys is maturing and probably better than rated, so he shouldn't be underestimated. However, preference is for distance-suited Ozark who is proven at this level and won his last 2 appearances over 1600m.
