VERDICT: Having scored at Uttoxeter and Sedgefield last month, the hat-trick seeking Pep Talking must enter calculations on his upward trajectory. However, a 5lb higher mark for the six-year-old's latest triumph does demand another career-best performance and Mister Upton may prove too strong. Chris Gordon's gelding escapes a penalty for his success in a conditional handicap at Hereford eight days ago and a quick double may be in the offing. Fellow last-time-out winners Ileny Royale and My Rockstar aren't easily dismissed.
