ANALYSIS: In touch with leaders, going okay over 2f out, soon pushed along and headway to lead over 1f out, ran on well inside final furlong, readily

    1 (2)
    Ben Robinson

    Age 4 CP

    14 L
ANALYSIS: Slowly away and lost ground start, towards rear early, soon progress to chase leader, chased along over 3f out, stayed on same pace, no extra inside final furlong, soon weakened
  • 8th
    3 (8)
    J P Sullivan

    Age 4

    1/2 L
ANALYSIS: Led at steady pace, chased along when headed over 1f out, soon weakened
VERDICT: Orbital went agonisingly close over C&D a fortnight ago and the application of first-time cheekpieces may help to eke out a bit more from the daughter of Pivotal. The vote goes to Sol Cayo, though, who appeared to relish the return to an artificial surface last time out and might be able to build on that performance. Orange N Blue is also noted.
