    David Bass

    Age 4 TT

ANALYSIS: Wore hood to post, soon led, headed 3rd but remained in touch, lost position before 4 out, weakened before 3 out, tailing off when pulled up before 2 out (stable representative said gelding ran flat, routine tested)
  • PU

    Henry Brooke

    Age 6 BLK TT

ANALYSIS: Held up towards rear, behind and struggling 6th, pulled up before 2 out (rider said gelding never travelled)
VERDICT: Flamelco did himself no favours by jumping left when runner-up at Hereford last month. He should be better suited by this track and the six-year-old looks capable of opening his account over fences. A dual chase winner in France, Delpotro has steadily improved since joining Charlie Longsdon's yard and can feature in the finish, while Langton Wold has placed over hurdles recently and is worthy of consideration back over the larger obstacles.
