VERDICT: Bold Recruit has been consistent by finishing second on his three previous starts under Rules. However, that tendency to find one too good brings enough doubt to cast a vote for the Paul Nicholls-trained Ken Roy, who is in the right hands to make progress and is entitled to be sharper after his jumping bow on his return to action at Lingfield. Jail No Bail and Onomaris are a couple of other potential improvers to consider.
