VERDICT: Lightly raced Kheops Dore (13) is an attractive betting proposition in the opener. He races unshod for the first time in the mounted code and is good value to make amends for his recent failure (disqualification) at Vincennes. Kronos De Vandel (14) boasts both the form and experience under the saddle to expose any chinks in the selection's armour, so he leads the opposition ahead of Kid Lea Driver (10) who also made an encouraging start under the saddle at Vincennes last month. Newcomer to the mounted code Kingdom De Chenu (9) and course-and-distance winner Kepler Haufor (2) complete the shortlist.
