VERDICT: Byzantium has been turned over at short odds in his two starts since arriving from France, but drying ground should enable him to show his true colours and he can make amends. German import Alexei struck at the first time of asking over obstacles over 2m3f here and while he probably didn't beat much, he is a serious contender. Thistle Be The One, Tuxedo Junction and Chedington's Guest all warrant consideration, while Pigeon House comes right into the mix if turning up after Wednesday's Hereford second.
