VERDICT: Bella Fortunata didn't cut much ice in her three qualifying runs, but she left that form well behind when scoring readily on her handicap debut over C&D. Upped 4lb, she gets the nod to bring up the double. This step back up to 6f, coupled with the application of a tongue tie, could help Avalon be seen to better effect and she can emerge as the main danger. Blue Lakota has hit the woodwork the last twice and another bold bid would come as no surprise.
