VERDICT: Hijo De La Luna is still a maiden after 19 starts but has dropped down to a competitive mark and gave plenty of encouragement last time when beating all bar Numidia over C&D with Ranko Express only about a length behind in sixth. The application of cheekpieces recently appears to have helped the selection to concentrate, while Tassarolo rates a threat having stayed on over a mile on his handicap debut last week and should appreciate this longer trip. Waystar has shown promise on her latest two starts over 1m4f and could be suited by this shorter distance.
