VERDICT: Mint Man has been placed here on a number of occasions and appears to have found a good opportunity to open his account. The Pat Murphy-trained gelding went close in a 6f maiden this autumn and didn't enjoy the clearest of passages when again narrowly denied in a handicap over C&D last Friday. The selection put in a below par effort here on his penultimate start when finishing behind Crystal Luna but, on the balance of form, should come out on top. Magic Force filled the runner-up spot twice over this trip as a juvenile and tries this surface for the first time.
