A 3lb rise could prove lenient and stepping back up in trip looks like a good move as he aims to see off the likes of Wrappedupinmay, who has had wind surgery since scoring over timber at Exeter in January. A progressive hurdler last season, Mahland is also interesting making his first start in this sphere on ground that is likely to suit.
