VERDICT: Terrific winner of the Gr.1 Prix des Centaures last March before being sent for a rest, Ideale Du Chene (7) has been given ample time to get in shape and, barefoot this time, is unlikely to be bested. Granit Meslois (4) boasts a fine record under these conditions though and, similarly barefoot, is unlikely to go down easily. Granvillaise Bleue (8) may not have won since June 2023 but she made a statement earlier in the month here and is not about to let the side down.
