VERDICT: Having scored comfortably on his stable debut in a juvenile hurdle at Huntingdon in January, French import Kabral Du Mathan is a notable contender for Paul Nicholls to go to war with this season. A mark of 123 is highly workable on his handicap bow and he makes plenty of appeal. Mr Hope Street and Pirates' Tale are other promising types to consider, although support in the betting for Spirits Bay would make him another tempting proposition.
