VERDICT: Grove Road went some way to atoning for a lacklustre Worcester performance when justifying favouritism at Newton Abbot, digging deep to end the runner-up's winning spree. James Owen's eight-year-old is 4lb higher and returning from a break, but his chief rival Emma Hamilton has had even longer off since her Ludlow triumph so he is taken to follow up. R Bernard failed in the hat-trick bid at Ludlow, but better is expected now he has that comeback under his belt.
