VERDICT: Castle Ivers paid his way in bumpers, with a fine Lingfield third behind a couple of promising types sandwiched by wins at Southwell and Wetherby. He then came up short in the Grade 2 at the Grand National meeting but remains a bright prospect, although so is Don't Mind If I Do. Alan King's four-year-old chased home the exciting Regent's Stroll in a Newbury race that usually works out well and is expected to come into his own now tackling obstacles. Jafimgoso and Out Out have races in them, so it is perhaps surprising that Harry Skelton partners their stablemate Jumbo Mills.
