VERDICT: Anglophile offered much more encouragement when coming home a close-up second over 1m1f at Redcar. The son of Too Darn Hot should have little issue with the extra furlong now reverting to the all-weather and a breakthrough victory could be in the offing. The biggest threat may emerge from Warrnambool, who caught the eye in third on debut at Kempton, although market support for Charlie Appleby's Frankel newcomer Secret Force would be interesting.
