VERDICT: This is a weak contest, although Banbridge's sister Spricklestown showed some promise here last month. Her initial form was poor and, being a sister to an albeit high-class good-ground specialist, might not want the ground to become soft, but she is rated 99 and receives 7lb from the geldings. She is also open to further progression, while the sixth-placed horse in her most recent run subsequently attained a placing. Kaikoura was beaten 26 lengths but showed some ability at Gowran recently and might progress. Coffeys Forge has been well beaten in recent handicap hurdles, but has winning point-to-point form.
