VERDICT: Suitably Surprised bids to land a quick double after scoring on Thursday. She will likely prove competitive once again, but only prevailed by a nose at Sedgefield and Purple Gown is preferred. Adam Nicol's five-year-old finished a respectable fourth back over hurdles at Newcastle last month and the presence of Brian Hughes in the saddle offers further encouragement. The remainder are struggling for form at present, although Inchiquin Spirit slips further down the weights and could go well.
