VERDICT: Musical Slave returned to winning ways over 3m2f here last month and the handicapper might have been kind to only put him up 3lb for that victory. Even so, River Tyne makes slightly more appeal. Nick Gifford's nine-year-old just prevailed by the smallest of margins at Plumpton on her latest outing and could improve on her first attempt over this longer trip. She can record a second course victory, while Whydah Gally is worth a second look.
