VERDICT: Hard-knocker Herode Du Corta (6) has a lot in his favour: good recent form, aptitude for this course and is ideally engaged. He will be hard to beat if repeating the performance of his last start at Salon-de-Provence. El Valeroso (1), ideally positioned in front, and Fleuron D'Acadie (13), especially in this configuration, are best equipped to expose any chinks in the selection's armour. Elixir Wind (11) shouldn't be underestimated in his first start since joining David Alexandre.
