VERDICT: Global Esteem was well held in third at Ludlow last month, but he takes a drop in grade which can see him get closer. Even so, Star Legend looks the one to be on. James Owen's five-year-old finished a fair fourth at Stratford when last seen in this sphere in July and goes off the same mark. It would be no surprise to see him regain the winning thread, while Stormin Crossgales is another to note.
