VERDICT: Jeriko Du Reponet looks just the type that could excel over fences this season for leading connections, having scored in a point-to-point previously. Unbeaten in three starts over hurdles last season before an excusable display when pulled up in the Supreme. The five-year-old sets a lofty standard on form and is preferred to fellow chasing newcomer Kansas Du Berlais, who had a decent pipe-opener on the Flat at Ascot last month. Twice a winner last season for new connections, Brookie could be interesting if taking to this discipline on the fourth attempt.
