VERDICT: Pinot Gris was the pick of these on the Flat and also has plenty of experience over hurdles. The Gavin Cromwell-trained gelding added to two Flat wins when landing a Bellewstown maiden hurdle this spring and beat all bar Eagles Reign in the valuable Lartigue Hurdle at the Listowel Festival. Zariygann has taken well to hurdles easily winning a Roscommon maiden and the half-brother to Zanahiyr followed up in good style at Listowel. Wonleg also won a maiden at Roscommon on his debut under Rules and has plenty of scope for improvement.
