VERDICT: Having proved a different proposition when making a winning handicap/seasonal debut over 2m3f at Fontwell last month, there is likely more to come from Broughshane. The son of Mahler got the better of a subsequent winner and, with this 3m distance expected to suit, a 9lb higher mark may not be enough to prevent him from following up. Dangers are aplenty, with the unexposed Fortified Fortune feared most, ahead of the progressive Stratton Oakmont.
