VERDICT: Royal Alliance was having his first start since June when scoring at Newcastle last month, having been gelded in the interim. The son of Persian King comfortably beat a horse rated 82 and may well defy a penalty on the strength of that form. Akrramm will likely have more to offer on his return from an absence, and the now-gelded Beccali might have a say in proceedings as well. Breakdancer, Dance In The Storm and Raafedd are all newcomers to note.
