VERDICT: Distillate recorded a fifth career win when successful over 7f at Cork in September and has been generally consistent since, including when placed here on his latest two starts. He shouldn't be inconvenienced by this drop back in trip and probably has most to fear from stablemate Clonmacash, who won a nursery over C&D 12 months ago and wasn't disgraced on his first outing for current connections at the Curragh recently. Sporting Hero was a close fourth behind Inishmot Prince at Navan and hasn't enjoyed a clear passage twice since, but appears best at 5f. There shouldn't be much to choose between Livingston Range and Land Rover judged on running behind My Girl Sioux here last Friday.
