VERDICT: In what looks a competitive affair, Boston Joe gets a tentative vote. Rebecca Curtis' charge fairly bolted up on his seasonal reappearance over fences at Ffos Las last month and, off a hurdles figure 8lb lower than his revised chase rating, this looks a fine opportunity for him to bring up a double. Speiriuil made a pleasing start to life in handicaps when runner-up over 2m at Uttoxeter in May and she must enter calculations off the same mark. Stardhem is just one more to consider.
