VERDICT: Johnny Mix (3) is ideally engaged under these conditions and an attractive betting proposition with the booking of David Bekaert a sign of his trainer's confidence. He gets the nod ahead of Joue Pas Avec Moi (5), who makes an ambitious trip with legitimate winning aspirations, and Jafar De L'iton (4) whose performances in well-composed fields in the South-West bode well for his chances here. Joyeux Des Vaux (8) is in good shape and has the means to get involved but is awkwardly positioned at the start. Jysko De Godrel (7) comes next.
