VERDICT: An unlucky second when short of room and hampered over a furlong out at Chelmsford last month, Time Patrol looks capable of gaining compensation on this occasion. Returning to Newcastle, where he ran well in March, is a plus and he gets the vote ahead of recent C&D third Asadjumeirah and Beneficiary, who bounced back to form with a strong runner-up effort over 5f at Southwell. Lord Abama and Variety Island cannot be ruled out either.
