VERDICT: River Gold showed major improvement on her second start for the James Owen stable and looks capable of following up that relatively comfortable success on her fencing bow at Fakenham. Alex Chadwick's 5lb claim is a big plus and his mount can see off Extraordinary Man and Good Lord, who ended last season well over hurdles and shaped with some promise on his chasing debut at Sedgefield. Others to note include Ben Buie, Famoso and The Big Man.
