VERDICT: Kaleidoscope Eyes finished a creditable second over 7f at Southwell last time out. If coping with the drop in trip, he can be a real force from an unchanged rating, but preference is for Blue Lakota, who showed signs of ability across his three runs in novice company. A half-brother to two winners on the all-weather, the switch to nurseries looks more realistic and an opening mark of 55 may underestimate Kevin Ryan's gelding. Monticristo Boy can chase the pair home.
