VERDICT: Very much an open affair this, a tentative nod nevertheless goes to the delicate but useful Karaly (17) who, with Mathieu Mottier onboard, can get around unscathed and open his Cabourg account. Kobalt Gagou (11) reassured though at Le Mans earlier this month and, barefoot for the occasion, with a 25m advantage, could yet steal his thunder. Significantly more performant with shoes off, Kamikaze (16) defied his odds at Caen last time and Alexis Collette has been drafted in for his charge's monte bow. Kennen Jiel (15) got off the mark at Ecommoy and, with form maintained, should again finish in the mix.
