VERDICT: Twice a winner over 7f, the step up in trip looks certain to unlock further progress within State Flag, who grabbed third close home at Kempton earlier this month. Tom Ward's filly still appears to be on a workable mark and she could take advantage against some out-of-form rivals. That said, Commander Of Life finished second to a handicap blot at Newcastle last week and must enter calculations from an unchanged rating. Wide Margin is another to consider.
