VERDICT: Alpine Stroll burned the fingers of favourite-backers when turning over an odds-on shot at Yarmouth last week. His penalty means he competes from a mark 1lb higher than his revised rating, though, so preference is for Thrilling Dream, who has been freshened up since completing a quickfire Leicester brace in the height of summer. His 95-rated half-brother has won on soft, and there is the potential for more improvement now he goes further. Arcon and Hardy Bloke shouldn't be far way, and Expressionless is better than he showed at Redcar.
