VERDICT: Point-to-point winner Machismo showed useful bumper form last season and might benefit from a recent bumper reappearance run. He won his point for today's trainer last December before showing consistent bumper form, and while his recent Fairyhouse effort was undeniably disappointing having been well supported, he looks sure to improve racing over obstacles and will now strip fitter, in an ordinary maiden. Elusive Prince similarly won a point-to-point on debut and while he has shown bits of useful hurdling form, was well beaten in a recent handicap and might struggle to beat the selection. Gringo D'ainay is a fairly useful 10-race maiden but is absent since March 2023.
