VERDICT: Akeela didn't get the run of the race when sent off favourite at Listowel last month, and she might be able to bounce back here with Alan Persse claiming a valuable 7lb. A surprise winner at Naas in July, she ran well in two subsequent starts at Cork. Placed three times in recent months, Seas And Oceans certainly wouldn't be winning out of turn. He finished ahead of the selection when last seen at Listowel and is sure to have plenty of supporters in this competitive affair. With promising apprentice Paddy McGettigan aboard, Monzoon warrants respect, while others for the shortlist are Epaulawn, Chica Power and Ateenosix.
