VERDICT: Embarked showed a likeable attitude when making all over C&D last month and, upped 3lb, another bold bid looks likely. That said, Snash is narrowly preferred. Tim Easterby's charge caught the eye when making headway from off the pace to finish fourth over 6f in a deeper race than this at Newcastle earlier in the month. Eased 1lb and stepping back up to 7f, this might be the time to catch him. Heretic scored on his handicap debut for Hugo Palmer when last seen in January 2023 and is interesting on his return.
