VERDICT: Billyjoh gets another chance in an open contest. Mick Appleby's charge has yet to win over 7f, but has finished runner-up over this distance at both Ascot at Goodwood this season. Persuasion can go well again after scoring at Haydock, while both Bobby Bennu and Merlin The Wizard have plenty of scope for improvement and the veteran Documenting is still capable in this grade on his day.
