VERDICT: Enjoying something of a renaissance since July, Journal Intime (7) is reunited with Eric Raffin who imposed with him at Les Sables, and is sufficiently well-positioned to win this. Significantly better than recent numbers would suggest, Jafar De Fael (1) has already won for Matthieu Abrivard and, barefoot this time, can give Antoine Marion's horse a run for his money. Barring his Vire blip, Jugement D'ave (5) has been in flying form and, from the 5-spot, Yoann Lebourgeois will be justifiably confident of a big run. Jamshir (8) appears to be nearing his best, sports a new configuration, and the engagement of Alexandre Abrivard will do his prospects no harm.
